Plant Status	Deciduous arbor, 10-12 meters high. It has long, pendulous branches; the lower branches are brown and glabrous, with slight hair when young. Leaves are lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, 9-16 cm long and 5-15 mm wide, with a long acuminate apex and a cuneate base. Flowering period is March-April, and fruiting period is April-May. The bark can be harvested throughout the year for use.
Plant Distribution	Grows in wetland areas by water and is cultivated in various regions. Mainly distributed in the Yangtze River Basin and southern China.
